A Safe and Healthy Birth

The Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices help simplify your birth with a proven practices that help alleviate your fears and manage pain regardless of your baby's size, labor length and complexity or confidence level. 

  1. Let labor begin on its own.

  2. Walk, move around and change position throughout labor.*

  3. Bring a loved one, friend or doula for continuous support.

  4. Avoid interventions that are not medically necessary.*

  5. Avoid giving birth on your back and follow your body's urges to push.

  6. Keep mother and baby together; it’s best for mother, baby and breastfeeding.

Childbirth education classes are important for families because:

  • They increase confidence in the ability to give birth

  • Families learn what the evidence says about what is best for mom and baby during labor and birth

  • Partners learn about childbirth and how to provide support throughout pregnancy and labor

Lamaze Childbirth Preparation classes are great for new parents! Book a private 12-hour class with a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and learn to incorporate healthy birth practices to build confidence in your ability to give birth, from pregnancy to parenting!

Private classes are held once a week for six weeks, on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays from 11am -2pm.
